Faces of hope: Bates watches the Obama inauguration

Hundreds of students, faculty, staff and visitors arrived at the Benjamin Mays Center to watch the Jan. 20, 2009, inauguration of President Barack Obama on a large-screen monitor. Their faces reflect history in the making.
