For those of you who had the opportunity to feel the heat from the first Fire Safety Day, held last October, I hope the experience opened your eyes to the importance of following Bates’ fire safety polices.
The simulated dorm room fire revealed the speed with which smoke and fire can develop and spread — less than three minutes, not even time enough for the fire department to arrive. Those who want to experience the event again, and those who could not attend that big blaze last fall, can now see it here.
