May 12: COVID-19 Update – Student Masking and Testing

Dear Students,

I hope that you have been enjoying Short Term. It has been very good to see you out and about on campus enjoying the warmer weather.

The college will continue with the masking requirements as shared with you in the April 27 COVID-19 update and I will provide you with another update about masking on campus by Friday, May 20.

As the academic year comes to a close, the last day we will be providing mandatory and observed testing at our COVID-19 Testing Center is Thursday, May 19. I am grateful for all of your cooperation with our testing program this academic year. For the past two years, our COVID-19 Testing Center staff have worked tirelessly to support the college’s testing efforts. When you see the staff next Thursday, please take a moment to thank them for their help and dedication.

For those students who wish to test during the week of May 23, you may pick up an over the counter (OTC), self-administered BinaxNOW test kit at the COVID-19 Testing Center at Muskie Archives on Tuesday, May 24 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

If you have questions and are not sure where to direct them, please email and you will be connected to the right person to assist you.

All the best,

Joshua McIntosh
Vice President for Campus Life
