How do we help students cultivate their historical sensibilities? How to bring alive the past in the classroom? Join us for a community of practice on teaching through original sources, with sessions held at the Muskie Archives, Bates Museum, and Maine MILL. We will explore the possibilities of local archival collections for teaching while learning from collections staff and peer educators, with attention to object-based pedagogies, book-historical perspectives, and creative possibilities. Resources for further study will be shared at the end of each session. Join us for one or multiple sessions (no preparation required)!
