Thesis
The Philosophy thesis is an opportunity to engage substantively with a philosophical topic of interest to you. In either a single semester thesis or honors thesis, you can develop your knowledge, thought, and writing on that topic in depth. As your senior year approaches, we suggest you think about possible thesis topics, and discuss them with potential advisors in the department. Philosophy thesis is not required for double majors who are completing their Bates W3 requirement in their other major, but it is encouraged for all philosophy majors.
