Jason Ryan has held various executive leadership and board roles across the life sciences and biotech industries, with extensive experience in scaling businesses from early stage through product launch and sustained commercial growth.

Jason currently serves as the executive chair of the board of GeneDx (Nasdaq: WGS), a leader in delivering improved health outcomes too patients through genomic and clinical insights. In addition to his role at GeneDx, Jason serves as chair of the board of Somalogic (Nasdaq: SLGC) and as director of Singular Genomics (Nasdaq: OMIC).

He has an extensive background in molecular diagnostics, genomic technologies, and therapeutic development, and has experience in developing strategy, managing capital markets, and product commercialization. Previously chief operating and financial officer at Magenta Therapeutics, and chief financial officer at Foundation Medicine, he has led finance and strategic planning functions in several industry firms, and began his career at Deloitte & Touche.

Jason majored in economics at Bates and earned an M.B.A. from the FW Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He has served as a lead Bates Fund class agent, Alumni In Admission volunteer, and chair of his 25th Reunion Gift Committee, and in 2021 received a Bates’ Best Award for volunteer service. He is married to Jennifer Ryan, and the couple lives in Winchester, Massachusetts with their two children.
