FREE SCREENING!

The B Well program is making it easy for you to get to “Know Your Numbers” through a free on-site Health Screening on either October 31st or November 1st.

We have contracted with Summit Health to provide a fasting finger-prick blood test screening which includes measurements for blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides and glucose.  You will also have an opportunity to discuss your results with a Healthcare Professional (total appointment time is approximately 15-20 minutes). The testing is set up as follows:

Wednesday, October 31st, 7:00am – 11:00am in New Commons 221
Thursday, November 1st, 7:00am  – 11:00am in Muskie 201

Please Click Here To Access Summit Health Appointment Web Site and make your appointment through Summit Health’s online appointment system.  You will need to set up a User ID and Password to make a reservation (Note: With your ID and password you may later change or cancel your appointment so be sure to remember them).  Please sign up prior to October 16th so that we can have an accurate count.

For your participation in this free, confidential screening you may choose between a $5 gift card to Dining Services or the Book Store.

It is a fasting screening so remember not to eat for 9 hours prior to the screening – then you can choose the $5 Dining Gift Card and have breakfast at the Den on us!

Wondering about the accuracy of a Finger Prick Test?  Summit Health provides both finger prick and venous blood draws.  Both provide accurate results but there are advantages and disadvantages for each.  Read their white paper comparing the two methods.
