"Chronicle of Philanthropy" showcases service-learning at Bates
A recent edition of the Chronicle of Philanthropy offers an in-depth look at how Bates College is creating extensive ties to Lewiston-Auburn and statewide communities through service-learning programs. Students such as Ben Shaw, shown working with Maine Gov. Angus King on a technology project, make a difference by extending their academic work into communities beyond Bates.
