Ted Durkin '11

In his third career start at inside linebacker for Bates, sophomore Ted Durkin submitted his finest game to date in a 27-14 loss to Williams College. Durkin (Rye Beach, N.H.) made 11 tackles, all solo, as the Bobcats showed promise but came up on the short end of the score.

Led by Durkin’s run-stopping, the Bobcat defense managed a respectable performance against the Williams rushing offense, allowing the Ephs just 2.75 yards per carry, taking away a pair of Brian Morrissey jaunts that totaled 48 yards alone.

Durkin and the Bobcats search for their first win of the season against winless Wesleyan University Saturday at 1 p.m. at Garcelon Field.
