Unveiling the Bobcat Statue

Bates College unveils its new bronze Bobcat sculpture, made possible by the Class of 2004 and other donors, on Saturday, June 13, during Reunion. Artist Forest Hart is at right, helping with the unveiling. Hart said he’s proud of both the Bobcat’s realism and how it reflects Bates. “The Bobcat looks like it knows where its going. It’s on the move. Just like a Bates graduate,” he said with a smile.
