Event with campus partners-“Teaching and Scholarship in the Dawnland: Ethical engagements with Wabanaki partners”
This event will be a panel and discussion on topics related to ethical collaboration with our Indigenous neighbors, including Indigenous intellectual and cultural property rights, research ethics, and environmental stewardship. Attendees will hear from three esteemed scholars actively working in these areas in the land we now know as Maine: Drs. Darren Ranco, Suzanne Greenlaw, and Jane Anderson.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from their work, as questions, consider the context of their research and teaching situated on Wabanaki homelands, and discuss implications with other interested Bates colleagues. This workshop is a collaboration of the Departments of Anthropology, Environmental Studies, History, and the Harward Center for Community Partnerships.
