Bates President Nancy J. Cable has announced that the Bates Board of Trustees recently elected three new members:
• Dr. Dervilla M. McCann ’77 of Winthrop, Maine, a cardiologist and partner with Androscoggin Cardiology Associates and Maine Research Associates in Auburn, Maine. McCann is also the director of the cardiology division of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and a member of the cardiology staff at Central Maine Medical Center, both in Lewiston.
• Barbara M. Raths ’96 of Portland, deputy treasurer of the state of Maine.
• John T. Rossello Jr. of Holliston, Mass., a former partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a global corporation that is the world’s second-largest professional services firm.
“We are very pleased to have these three outstanding individuals on our board as we enter a new academic year at Bates — we are eager to have them involved in the leadership of the institution,” Cable said. “Each new trustee brings to the work of the board a variety of personal and professional strengths, along with deep interest in and enthusiasm for the kind of leading liberal arts and sciences education that Bates provides.”
