Greetings from the Office of Accessible Education and Student Support at Bates.

We are committed to ensuring full access to both academic and co-curricular programming college wide for students with disabilities.  We also serve as a resource to faculty and staff and work collaboratively with campus partners to implement accommodations and services.

We welcome questions and feedback, so please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Welcome incoming and newly-disclosing students! A reminder that the suggested deadline for requesting an academic accommodation for the Fall 2016 semester is August 1. Contact us as early as possible so there is plenty of time to process your request before the semester starts.

  • Approved for text in alternate format? Send us your book list and proofs of purchase over the summer so you have the format you need before classes begin.

  • Need to schedule an exam? Email or stop by Lane Hall 101 to schedule in-person. Please remember that we require two business days advance notice.
