Campus Life and the BCSG Committee Selection Board are excited to announce the fall election process for seats on the 2023-24 Bates College Student Government. The positions up for election are:
- Three Class Representative seats for the first-year class of 2027.
- Three Class Representative seats for the junior class of 2025. (one for fall semester, and two for the full year, or some combination that allows for three juniors to sit on the assembly year-round).
- Two Class Representative seats for the senior class of 2024 (one for fall semester, and one for the full year, or some combination that allows for three seniors to sit on the assembly year-round).
All candidates, including those on an executive seat joint ticket, must submit their own Self-Nomination Form. Self-nominations will be accepted from Monday, September 18 at 1:00am ET until Thursday, September 28 at 4:00pm ET.
All candidates are required to attend one of two Candidate Information Meetings. Candidates may not begin campaigning until after attending a meeting. Failure to attend, or send a proxy, will result in disqualification.
The Fall 2023 BCSG Election will take place Monday, October 2 to Wednesday, October 4 on Bates Engage. Only current first-years, juniors, and seniors are eligible to vote. Election results will be announced via email by Friday, October 6.
