Credit Transfer Applicability

DCS Major: Up to three courses may be taken from institutions external to Bates with prior approval by the DCS Program Committee. 

Please meet with your advisor so that your four-year plan is outlined in the Academic Approval form. Note that most study abroad credits will transfer as unspecified. You should not count on these courses to meet the Methods or 300-level requirements for the DCS Major. 

Keep in mind the prerequisites for Capstone: DCS 211 or DCS 229; completion of the Methods requirement, and one 300-level or higher course. To aid in planning for course completion, the following requirements worksheet will be helpful.
