show map We invite incoming and Bates families and their students from the Washington, D.C. area to join us for a gathering to meet and make connections with each other. Get to know your fellow Bobcats, hear from current Bates families, and expand your Bates network.
This event is hosted at a local restaurant in the Penn Quarter Neighborhood.

What to expect:
- This is an informal meet-and-greet for both family members and incoming Bates students. Light refreshments will be provided. Dress code is casual.
- If family members cannot attend, students are still encouraged to register and attend so they can connect with their fellow Bobcats. If a student cannot attend, their parents and support networks are welcome to attend and meet other Bates families.
- While college staff will be present to help greet incoming families, this casual networking gathering will not include a formal presentation or information session.
