Our team is hard at work preparing a full lineup of events and opportunities to welcome the Class of 2029 and their families into the Bates community—from Summer Welcome Receptions in cities across the country to helpful orientation webinars that will guide you through your student’s transition to campus life. These events are designed to help you connect, learn, and feel right at home in the Bates family.

Summer Welcome Receptions
Summer Welcome Receptions offers incoming Bates families and students the opportunity to casually meet each other in regions across the country. You can register for an event in your hometown, or if you’ll be traveling this summer, for the event that is most convenient for you.

Family Orientation Webinars
Orientation webinars offer family members of incoming Bates students an opportunity to get up to speed on their student’s transition to life on campus. Webinars are held before and after the beginning of the academic year so that as students pack for Arrival Day, participate in Orientation, and start classes and activities, families have timely information on supporting them and the many resources available to students during their time at Bates.
