Mark recently retired from Wellington after a 31-year career. In his last role, Mark was an equity portfolio manager on the Global Stewards team. Mark co-founded the approach in 2018. Global Stewards is a concentrated, long-term oriented strategy. Holdings were selected for their potential to sustain high returns-on-capital and for exemplary corporate stewardship. The mandate grew to over $8 billion in 5 years on the back of top decile investment performance and inflows from clients around the world.
Mark joined Wellington in 1994 as a global industry analyst covering the nonbank financial services sector. Thereafter he served as director of global industry research from 2002 to 2017. Prior to joining Wellington, Mark worked in the corporate finance group at Advest, Inc.
Mark earned his MBA from Dartmouth College (Tuck) and his BA in economics from Bates College. He is an FSA Credential Holder, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a member of the CFA Institute. Mark is a member of the Board of Advisors at The Tuck School of Business, after having served on Tuck’s MBA Council for five years. While at Wellington, Mark worked with the Pacific Pension Institute for 9 years and served on its Membership Committee. He is a third-term Trustee at Bates College where he chaired the Investment Committee for six years.
