NBC Nightly News host Brian Williams expresses best wishes to Bryant Gumbel '70

On his Dec. 8 telecast, NBC Nightly News host Brian Williams, L.H.D. ’05 sent best wishes to fellow journalist Bryant Gumbel ’70, “a proud product of Bates College.” Earlier that day, Gumbel revealed that he has been undergoing treatment for lung cancer and had surgery to remove a malignant tumor in his chest.
