As a child, Caroline lived in Wyoming, Kansas, and Illinois before finally settling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Caroline spent her high school years in Southeastern Louisiana, her father’s former stomping grounds, but followed her mother’s roots back to Massachusetts for college. She attended Wellesley College, where she majored in sociology, poked fish in a biology lab, and played rugby. Caroline also worked in the Office of Admission, and discovered her passion for cultivating a diverse, collaborative, and curious student body–the likes of which had helped her grow as a scholar and individual. After graduation, Caroline joined the Office of Admission at Bates, and most enjoys taking in the beauty of campus when she has a spare moment. In her free time, Caroline enjoys hiking, reading in the sun, and teaching herself how to cook (she has only set off the fire alarm once).
