Bates-to-Riverside Cemetery Bird Walk
The first week of the annual Bates-to-Riverside Cemetery Bird Walks starts Tuesday, May 5. Beginners welcome!
Join us at 6:30 AM on the steps of Hathorn Hall on the Bates College campus. We will walk to Riverside Cemetery via Mountain Ave. and back, planning to end on Bates campus by 8:30 or whenever you have to leave. Along the way, learn about birds and experience the wonder of spring migration.
The walks will continue for three more Tuesday mornings: May 12, 19, and 26. For over thirty years, we have recorded what we see and hear. See our route and some of our past sightings on eBird.
Help us continue these historic walks by joining in and adding your eyes and ears.
