Campus Life and the BCSG Committee Selection Board are pleased to announce the election process for seats on the 2026-27 Bates College Student Government. The positions up for election are:

• Three Class Representative seats for the class year of 2027, running individually
• Three Class Representative seats for the class year of 2028, running individually
• Three Class Representative seats for the class year of 2029, running individually
• BCSG Executive Leadership, 2 positions running together

All candidates, including those on an executive seat joint ticket, must submit their own Self-Nomination Form. Self-nominations will be accepted from Monday, March 2nd at 8:00pm until Thursday, March 12th at 4:00pm ET. 

All candidates are required to attend one of two Candidate Information Meetings. Candidates may not begin campaigning until after attending a meeting. Failure to attend, or send a proxy, will result in disqualification.

The 2026 BCSG Election will take place Tuesday, March 24th to Thursday, March 26th on Bates Engage. Election results will be announced via email by Friday, March 27th.
