Jessica Anthony ’96 is a novelist and director of the Creative Writing Concentration. She is the author of The Convalescent (McSweeney’s/Grove 2009), the multimedia novel Chopsticks (Penguin/Razorbill 2012), and Enter the Aardvark (Little, Brown 2020). Anthony’s books have been published in several countries, and her short stories appear in Best New American Voices, Best Nonrequired Reading, McSweeney’s, The Idaho Review and elsewhere. Her essays will soon appear in the Times Literary Supplement and LitHub. Anthony has recently received fellowships from the Creative Capital Foundation, the Bogliasco Foundation (Italy), the BridgeGuard Foundation (Slovakia), and the Maine Arts Commission. In 2021, she will spend a month in residence as a research fellow at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington.
