Time-sensitive reminders for your incoming Bates student
Greetings from campus, Bates families –
Throughout the summer before their first year, students are required to complete online orientation resource modules and to participate in key pre-arrival processes, such as fall course registration.
Please remind your student about critical steps and deadlines.
- As of June 9, students receive all Bates updates at their Bates email address. Instructions on how to log in were provided through their Admission portal. Please encourage them to check their email daily.
- Three separate resource modules are now open to students. These modules are time sensitive, and additional modules will open throughout the summer. The First-Year Experience team updates students directly when new modules open.
- Fall course registration opens for first-years on July 9, and your student will soon hear from their course registration consultant, a faculty or staff member specially trained to advise students with course selection.
All emails to students are archived under Summer Communications on the First-Year Experience website, where you’ll also find a full calendar of summer dates and deadlines.
Thank you for helping your student keep up with these pre-arrival items, as these important resources make the transition to campus much smoother!
Best from Bates,
The Bates Parent Team
P.S. Looking for past email updates? Find them on the Bates Parents and Families site. Do you have a co-parent who would like to receive future email updates? Fill out the Parent Contact Update form. We look forward to staying in touch!
