Jody Douglass was appointed headmaster of George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, Maine, after serving as interim head since September 2001. “The teachers like her. The kids like her,” Lucy Leiden, president of the school’s board of trustees, told the Ellsworth American, while praising Douglass’ ideas for the school’s future and her ability to work with the board.
