Charlotte Lane Ball, who also lives at Havenwood in Concord, New Hampshire, was happy to have a visit from her daughter who lives in California…. Katherine Thomas Smith writes from Monroe Manor that she has moved from her apartment to a more convenient room at 10 Alda St., Nashua, New Hampshire 03060-4782…. On March 2, 1995, Frederic H. Young was honored at a ninetieth-birthday celebration, joining many other nonagenarians in the Class of 1927. Some of his adult-education students of philosophy sponsored the party, also attended by his daughter, Gloria, from Kentucky. Retired from teaching since 1990, he and his wife, Diana, live at Leisure World in Laguna Hills, California. Fred’s poem “Icarus Triumphant” was selected by the International Poetry Society and delivered at the organization’s 1994 convention. He sent a copy to Buzz Aldrin, second man to stand on the moon, who sent Fred an autographed photo of himself on the moon.
