Kimberly Lehmann and Chiharu Naruse (Bates faculty) present a concert titled Unsung Voice: Viola Music of Women Composers. This recital will celebrate a wide-ranging collection of music by women composers, featuring the rich sound of the viola.

Kimberly Lehmann is a member of the Portland Symphony Orchestra, where she is also a Teaching Artist for the Explorers Program. She teaches violin and viola at the Portland Conservatory of Music and is Artist Faculty at the University of Southern Maine Osher School of Music.

Chiharu Naruse has performed as a soloist and a chamber musician throughout the United States, Germany, France and Japan. Her broad range of orchestral repertoire includes performances of Rachmaninov, Beethoven, Mozart and Schumann piano concertos with multiple orchestras.
