Jenn Bergeron Carlson finished her first year of pediatrics residency at Primary Children’s in Salt Lake City. “Even though it was a very busy year I managed to ski more than 30 days this winter. Now my husband and I are enjoying the biking and hiking that Utah has to offer. Anyone who needs a ski vacation is welcome to stay with us.”… Neva Corbo-Hudak writes: “Thad (Carlson) is still working on his M.D./Ph.D. at the Univ. of Rochester and is doing immunology research. After working in development since graduation, I decided to switch career paths and now I’m at the Rochester Institute of Technology working on my M.F.A. in graphic design.”… Brendan Cullen was married last year and lives in Philadelphia…. Rob Curtis, now married to Katie Tully, is regional representative, in upstate New York, for Eaton Vance. “Living in Yankee country is not sitting well,” he says…. After two and a half years in Washington, D.C., on Capitol Hill, Mike Ferrari is back in Boston managing a state senate campaign. On breaks from the campaign trail, he enjoys hanging out with classmates Tyler Munoz and Nate Kostoulakos…. Kate Gibson lives in San Diego and is pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology…. Jessica Holden finished her Ph.D. in pharmacology at Wisconsin-Madison in May 2003 and a postdoctoral year at Penn. She recently started another postdoc at the National Institutes of Health in D.C. She is engaged to Benjamin Kloda, who received his M.A. in French linguistics from Indiana Univ. in May 2003 and works for the Department of State in D.C., where he oversees language training programs in German, Dutch, and Haitian Creole. Ben and Jessie are to be married Sept. 12 on Martha’s Vineyard…. At Cathleen Jasper Vincent’s June wedding on Martha’s Vineyard, Meg Wilson, Darce Wijsenbeek, and Jess Bavier were bridesmaids. Also attending were Ken Kolb, John Shim, Paul Nemetz-Carlson, Matt Lapenta, Eliza Woodbury ’97, JK Werner, Sohail Coelho, and Billy Fischer. “I’m a student again getting my master’s in an accupunture program in Boston.”… David Karp finished master’s degrees in international law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy as well as from the Universite de Geneve. He works as a refugee resettlement officer for the United Nations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. “I am also working on a Ph.D. in refugee studies.”… Pete Kawada is in London, England, “living the life of Riley. I moved to this side of the pond to pursue opportunities in finance as an associate with Bear Stearns’ Acquisition Finance group. I’ve seen some amazing places around Europe and never would have imagined that my junior year abroad would have commenced at age 28.”… Ben Levy graduated from NYU Law in 2001 and works at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York City in corporate transactional law, mainly in securities, finance, and restructurings. He lives in Long Island City, Queens, in a loft that was once a theater. Jimmy Durante appeared there, and later it was a club called Exile where The Misfits performed in the late ’70s. Among his housemates is Phil Donohue ’99….Tracy Meyer was looking forward to her July 31 wedding at the Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles. “The same place my parents were married 35 years ago!” she writes. Scott Minker is the lucky guy; he attended Georgetown. “We met in D.C. and are now living in Santa Monica. Scott and I are both in business school in Los Angeles.”… Ruth Mills lives in the Raleigh, N.C., area and teaches high school special education. “I married a fellow Maine-iac (though not a Batesie!) in June, and we plan to stay in North Carolina for the long haul — we have decided we’re both permanently through with six-month winters!”… Katherine O’Kieffe Cusani-Visconti was married in Italy last September (see Weddings) and is moving from Chicago to Washington, D.C…. Julie O’Neill Ray met her husband, Michael, when he was stationed in Newport, R.I., last year. “We live on Oahu where he serves as the operations officer aboard the USS Paul Hamilton, Pearl Harbor. Although I had to leave seventh-grade English teaching and coaching girls’ volleyball in my hometown, I’m having a blast surfing and being newlywed in Hawaii! Congrats also to Michelle Bastien, who graduated in June from UMass Medical School and has recently begun her obstetrics residency at Beth Israel in Boston!”… Jonathan Pereia attended his 10-year high school reunion in Chicago…. John Renner, pursuing a master’s degree in city planning at Berkeley, was awarded a $10,000 scholarship from the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Educational Foundation…. Ryan Spring teaches history at Blair Academy in New Jersey and recently married fellow teacher Stacey Gorski, Middlebury ’04…. Jessica Stewart Lord continues to work on her doctorate in clinical psychology at UConn. She was married in July…. Caitlin Sweeney, due to funding cutbacks, had to leave her job working with teenagers in Boston. “I took that as an opportunity to try something new and now am in school full time studying interior design. Kind of a switch, but I like it.”… Sonia Szlyk is in an anesthesiology residency at the George Washington University Hospital and is planning a June 2005 wedding to Ivan Petrovitch, a radiology resident. After training “we plan to practice internationally, ideally in Australia to take advantage of the diving. For now, we’ve been heading to the Grand Caymans and have recently ventured into underwater photography.”… Michele Therrien Voner writes: “Jeff and I decided to move back to the Boston area in June after six years in and outside of D.C. Jeff took a job in the cardiology division at MGH. I am looking for an job as an epidemiologist. If anyone knows of a good deal on a house for sale in the Boston area (hahaha) or an epi job, please let us know.”… Seth Thompson is working as a computer geek in New Gloucester, Maine…. Dan Voisin is in Montpelier, Vt., with wife Heather and works as an environmental consultant and analytical chemist for Stone Environmental Inc.; he’s wrapping up an M.S. in geochemistry from UNH…. Michele Wong is leaving her job as a producer at iDeutsch, the New York advertising agency, to enroll in law school at Northwestern.
