New York based saxophonist, Charlotte Greve, brings her group Wood River to Bates college. Wood River is a Brooklyn based band lead by Greve that is lush with back beats, through composed melodies, as well as enigmatic lyrics and grooves; their music is as un-categorizable as the musicians are versatile. They perform a captivating blend of jazz, ambient and rock music with a rarely heard compositional rigor.
