Presented By: The Bates Department of Music: For many centuries, various art forms have celebrated birds’ voices and movements. We welcome back the Portland Ballet and violinist Katherine Liccardo for this concert. Set to music created by former Bates professor William Matthews as well as other composers, we depict the beauty of birds and nature and aim to raise awareness on environmental issues through music and dance.
