The Department of Music Presents
Frank Glazer, Solo Piano Concert from Bates Parents’ Weekend 1991

This archive video will become available at 12pm on the day of the event.

We are pleased to present, from deep in the Bates archives, a Frank Glazer solo piano concert. This video will premiere on our website at Noon on February 25th; it can be viewed at anytime!

This performance, which took place on the Olin stage and at the same Steinway that still lives there, was for Bates Parents’ weekend, 1991. During the first half, he begins in Germany with Mozart and Schumann. After the intermission he takes us to France for Satie and Ravel before finally ending in Poland with Chopin. Please come join us for this sentimental, sonic tour of the great European classical composers with Frank Glazer.

This is the first of our series of archival videos, we will soon be releasing Jazz Band from the 80’s, Acapella at the Chapel from the 90’s, and more!
