NOSTALGIA: A Tribute to the Legacy of Frank Glazer Featuring Former Colleagues, Students and Current Bates Faculty
75 Russell St
Lewiston, ME 04240
Presented by The Bates Department of Music: The absence of our cherished long-time artist in residence, Frank Glazer, is deeply felt by all he touched in his 30+ years with the college. In honor of his invaluable contributions to both Bates College and the vibrant musical communities in Maine, we are hosting a special concert. During the event, we will have the privilege of hearing reminiscences and stories about Frank Glazer from Emeritus Professor of Performing Arts, James Parakilas, and Bates Alumnus pianist Duncan Cumming.
We are delighted to present a selection of songs from Mr. Glazer’s own compositions, as well as works by Brahms. These works will be performed by Duncan and Hilary Cumming along with current Bates faculty members Joëlle Morris, Chiharu Naruse, and Dean Stein. Please join us in celebrating the rich and inspiring musical legacy of Mr. Glazer.
