The Office of Intercultural Education provides equity, inclusion, access, anti-racism, and educational justice resources to students. We welcome any question about the resources we provide. Please send questions to oie@bates.edu.

+Where is the Office of Intercultural Education located?

The OIE is located in Chase Hall room 142.

+What is inside of the Office of Intercultural Education?

The OIE has many physical resources available to students, and the Bates College community. We have a kitchen that is not functional due to COVID-19. We have a computer lab, televisions, multiple lounge spaces, a small conference room, and much more.

+What are the office hours of the Office of Intercultural Education?

The OIE is open Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM, and Saturday – Sunday 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM. Professional staff are generally available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, and after 5:00 PM the office is staffed by student employees.
