Ethan comes to Bates from Jackson, NH and has now worked for the BOC for 3 years. He’s also a Registered Maine Guide. On the academic side of things, Ethan is an Environmental Studies major. When he’s not in the Ronj drinking a cappuccino, you can find Ethan out on his bike around Androscoggin County or up at Sunday River where he works as a Ski Patroller. But don’t let the number of keys on his carabiner fool you, Ethan’s proudest accomplishment is helping to provide all members of the Bates community easy and equitable access to outdoor gear! Eva hails from high up in the Rocky Mountains in Woody Creek, CO. A dedicated member of the Bates Nordic team, Eva splits her time between gliding across the landscapes of Maine and ensuring the E-Room is running smooth. Eva is an Environmental Studies major and math enthusiast, always calculating the slope angle as she runs up a trail in the summer months. Eva loves to help people find their passions in the outdoors, whether that be hiking, biking, backpacking, or nordic skiing. Ruby comes from the other side of the Eastern Seaboard in Atlanta, GA. Ruby’s studious hours are spent working towards a double major in American Studies and Africana. Whether she’s walking around New Zealand (as seen above) or thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, Ruby knows how to get YOU ready for your next front-country or backcountry adventure! Entering her second season with the E-Room, she can’t wait to welcome Bobcats back to Chase Hall and ring out her final year at Bates with BOC trips, laughs, and many strolls around campus! So long story short here he is. How he got here? No clue. Where he even is? No clue. All he knows is that he likes to spend days out in the sun, rain, snow, sleet, heat, and whatever else Maine has to offer. Moral of the story, Nathaniel like to be outside, and even more he wants YOU all to get outside!
