OAC: Concert Manager (S9620X)

Summary

The Concert Manager will be responsible for overseeing a variety of production details for concerts that take place in the Olin Arts Center concert hall. Duties may include such tasks as: overseeing concert assistants as specified by the Manager of Olin Arts, greeting performers, photocopying and/or distributing concert programs, unlocking concert hall and green room doors, locking practice rooms, operating lights, supplying musicians’ chairs and music stands, other necessary equipment and stage furnishings, overseeing moving the piano, stage management, monitoring the Olin lobby to accommodate late seating, , and maintaining quiet during performances.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Receiving performers Setting up the concert halls for programs Attending to performers’ various needs during the concert and intermissions Overseeing duties of concert assistants Attending to intermission details Coordinating any video/audio recordings

Requirements

EXPERIENCE: The Music Concert Assistant ideally will have some related experience or formal musical background, particularly previous participation in public concerts or theater productions.
