The Cardio Maintenance Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the athletics and recreation operations which includes performing maintenance and cleaning of cardio and fitness equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned cleaning responsibilities to maintain sanitation of the facilities and equipment.
Assist with minor repair, preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies
Complete reports and safety audits related to maintenance and risk management
Be attentive to and report equipment issues to Student Manager and/or supervisor
Maintain thorough knowledge of and monitor proper equipment use; accurately follow direction and diagrams
Maintain a safe, enjoyable, secure, and clean environment for members, guests, and staff
Attend all staff meetings, in-services and trainings
Uphold the mission and values and be an active representative of the Department of Athletics
All other duties assigned as by the supervisor and other Athletics staff

Requirements

Work environment can be warm and noisy at times. Physically demanding and requires the ability to: climb stairs; push, lift and carry heavy load; stand for long-durations.

Reporting

Reports to Associate Athletic Director.

Working Conditions

Work environment can be warm and noisy at times. Also may be required to work outdoors in cold or warm temperatures and weather. Physically demanding and requires the ability to: climb stairs; push, lift and carry heavy load; distinguish colors in accordance with color-coded system; stand for long-durations.
