
AESOP trips encourage authenticity, connection
The Class of 2030, the third largest in Bates history, gathered to kick off AESOP on Friday, Aug. 28 — the day after move-in day.
The Archives and Special Collections Assistant will assist in the day to day operations of the Edmund S. Muskie Archives and Special Collections Library and provide administrative support to its staff.
This student must pay attention to detail, have strong organizational skills, and be able to multi-task.
Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Environment: Indoors
Physical requirements: The Assistant will need to climb a stepladder and lift boxes of records and other moderately heavy objects up to 30lbs.
Machines and equipment used: Computer and photocopier

Desired:
Education: Some college
Experience: Work in an archives, library or historical setting, and/or cataloging experience.
Reports to: Director of Archives and Special Collections
Coordinates/works closely with: Other archives staff members and researchers.
