This is not an hourly position. It is a fellowship that comes with a stipend.
Utilize Adobe InDesign to help create monthly, 10-page print publications.
Dedicate one night every two weeks to collaborative newsroom editing.
Take creative initiative to improve reachability, presence, and interactivity across campus, including amongst alumni, staff, and faculty.
Collaborate with photographers to uphold the quality of images for print.
Collaborate with the managing editor team to design and publish special editions of the paper including, but not limited to, an orientation issue, Sex Week edition, and Spudent.
The Assistant InDesign Editor is exempt from writing articles, but is expected to participate in all staff meetings.
The total payment for this role is $200 for the semester. This is not an hourly paid position.
Experience with InDesign
Experience and comfort with technology
Organized and details oriented
Able to meet timely deadlines
Works closely with the Editor-In-Chief (s) and Executive Managing Editor
Professional staff supervisors for personnel matters, operations support and fellowship agreements include the Senior Associate Dean of Students and the Assistant Director for Campus Life.
