Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive and versatile brand for the Bates Campus Safety Department. The specialist is responsible for creating content on behalf of the Campus Safety Department to be posted on the Bates College website. This individual will also work to assist in the planning, promoting, and execution of community engagement events.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities

Responsibilities


• Increase general knowledge of Campus Safety’s philosophy and services, as well as promote upcoming, specific community engagement events and programs. • Assist in the planning and staffing Campus Safety community engagement events and programs. • Photograph Campus Safety events and programs (on and off-campus). • Create print marketing materials (including, but not limited to, flyers and posters). • Develop and implement other marketing and outreach strategies, as needed.
