Luette Saul, soprano, holds degrees in vocal performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of Southern Maine. As a performer Luette is active as a recitalist and soloist, with most recent appearances including a concert of Brahms lieder with the vocal ensemble Cantare con Spirito, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis with the Maine Music Society and Bates Chorale,  a recently commissioned work by Tom Myron for soprano and string quartet with the Portland String Quartet, and a recital of Schubert’s epic song-cycle, Winterreise.  As a director she has put together numerous lieder ensemble and opera scenes concerts for performance throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. She teaches voice at Bates College and at her studio in Portland.
