BIO: Clean Room Worker (S9956B)

Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

Each week the student washes laboratory glassware and instruments in the Clean Room according to established protocol. He or she then returns the clean items to their correct stockroom location.

Please Note: The Clean Room Worker must have self motivation to regularly schedule him or herself weekly to perform the duties. He or she must also pay attention to detail, and have the ability to multi-task.

Specific responsibilities may include, but may not be limited to:

The student washes glassware and instruments according to established procedures and returns cleaned and dried items to the stockroom. The student is responsible for monitoring the amount of washing that needs to be done, keeping a backlog of washing to a minimum. Students may schedule work around their other obligations, however they should not neglect their responsibilities in the clean room for periods of time exceeding one week. Students may also be asked to help refill pipet tip boxes as needed.
