These student workers will assist the Sports Information Director in office work, statistical work, game day management, website management, and/or writing press releases. This position is great for students looking to do just office work and/or for those looking to gain sport management and journalism experience.

Requirements
REQUIRED:
EDUCATION: The Sports Information Assistants must have a longstanding interest in sports that has allowed them to develop knowledge about various sports.
EXPERIENCE: The Sports Information Assistants must have a familiarity with a variety of sports.
DESIRED:
EDUCATION: Basic knowledge of sports statistics
EXPERIENCE: Work at a school newspaper and participation or any other relevant experience to the field of sports information
Reporting
REPORTS TO: Sports Information Director
COORDINATES/WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Sports Information Director, members
of the Department of Physical Education and Athletics, and the CMR staff
Responsibilities
ENVIRONMENT: CMR office and/or at numerous athletic events (indoors and outdoors)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal
MACHINES & EQUIPMENT USED: Windows PC, Macintosh, and photocopier
