Bates participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for Veterans or Dependents of Veterans.
A provision of the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, the Yellow Ribbon Program provides partial funding for veterans (and their spouses or dependents) to cover the cost of tuition at participating private colleges and universities. For the 2023-24 academic year, the Post 9/11 GI Bill® federal funding formula provides $27,120.05 for tuition and mandatory fees. The Yellow Ribbon Program then pays for tuition and mandatory fees in excess of $27,120.05 up to a maximum amount set by the institution per academic year.
Bates provides a matching school contribution of up to $17,500 for an unlimited number of students annually, upon receipt of all completed application requirements.
