Hello students in the Class of 2029 and new transfer students,

Your course schedules for the Fall 2025 semester will be viewable at your Garnet Gateway at or near Noon Eastern tomorrow, Friday, August 8, 2025. To get to Garnet Gateway, simply go to the Quad and click on the button labeled “Garnet Gateway”.

Your schedule is now frozen until the Add/Drop period begins at 7 AM Eastern on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Please do not contact the Registrar at this time seeking any changes to your schedule. You cannot adjust your schedule until the Add/Drop period begins. 

If you are a first-year, you will meet with your First-Year Seminar Instructor, who is also your pre-major academic advisor, on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 9 AM until 11 AM. If you are a transfer student, you will meet with your academic advisor and the Registrar on Friday, August 29, 2025 from noon to 1:30 PM. Each of these meetings is to review your schedule, and ensure you’re on track for the semester and your time at Bates. You can meet with faculty from all of the different academic units at Bates at the Academic and Resource Office Fair, which is on August 29 from 11:10 AM until 12:25 PM.
