Responsibilities

1. Communicate well with all customers and understand their needs
2. Operate all painting related equipment
3. Perform all painting related functions
4. Be assigned to and complete work orders and PM (preventative maintenance) orders
5. Interacts well with other painters, all Facility Services personnel, department heads, and residents of buildings where work is being performed
6. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relations with supervisors, fellow workers and building occupants.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required.
• Successful completion of a background check required.

Reporting

Students will report directly to manager and Lead Painter, Students will be working closely with full time painters and other seasonal employees.

Working Conditions

• Ability to logically trouble-shoot equipment problems.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in the conduct of the job.

• Establish and maintain working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and outside contacts.

• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.

• Ability to use tact and diplomacy to effectively handle a broad range of interpersonal situations and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.
