The DCCE Education Coordinator will be expected to work closely with the DCCE team focusing on creating community through educating students/faculty/staff about Commons, healthy food choices, wellness and growing their own food identity. The ideal candidate not only has a love for food and wellness but, more importantly, possesses the creativity and stills to craft programs which are engaging and informative.. Developing, coordinating and presenting a monthly event in Commons
Producing weekly educational articles for table ads in Commons
Submitting monthly articles to the Bates “Student” newspaper
Providing additional support for Commons related initiatives, as needed
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with MS Word, Google, and Canva
A working knowledge of and passion for healthy food and wellness
Reports to Christine Schwartz, AVP for DCCE
Works closely with other members of the DCCE staff.
Requires working independently, on deadline
Must be able to present events in Commons during peak meal hours
