The Clean Sweep Coordinator is responsible for helping to organize and oversee logistics for the Clean Sweep event including coordinating and managing volunteers and conducting outreach to the Bates community about donations. The Clean Sweep Coordinator will be expected to work independently and on some weekends to: Assist with outreach to students, faculty and staff about how to donate unwanted items to Clean Sweep. This may include helping to edit and disperse fliers and announcements to the campus community. Manage the set up of collection areas in all campus residences for donating items as students move out at the end of the term. EcoReps are in the service of changing the face of sustainability here at Bates. We work to integrate sustainability into the existing systems of the college, in order to ensure the longevity of our work. The Bates Sustainability Office is hiring two head farmers for Short Term and the summer season. We are looking for candidates that have strong farming experience, and farm management is preferred. Knowledge of crop rotation, cover cropping, organic farming practices, and vegetable pests a plus. Commitment to a 20 hour work week throughout the summer is required.
