Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

This position requires the successful candidate to craft witty answers to the comments left on napkins by students and involves working independently, on a deadline, in order to return the napkins for posting each week.
The Napkin Board Respondent must be well organized, have a great sense of humor, be current with social media, and yet be sensitive to student needs and suggestions.
The Respondent will receive general information about the issues on the napkins but will craft the final iteration of the response. Napkins are returned to Dining to be rehung so that the anonymity of the Napkin Respondent is scrupulously preserved.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities

Responsibilities


- Based on the general answers provided by DCCE, creates responses to napkins left on the physical napkin board. - Types in comment and suggested response and submits for approval, editing where necessary - Prints and attaches final responses to napkins and delivers them back to Commons for posting.

Requirements


- Must have excellent written skills and the ability to search and select appropriate visuals and memes to create final responses.

Reporting


- Reports to Cheryl Lacey - Works closely with other members of the DCCE staff.

Working Conditions


- Requires working independently, on deadline - Experience with MS Word, Canva and other programs used to edit digital material
