Class Secretary: Judith Lanouette Nicholson, 15 Heron Cove Drive, Merrimack NH 03054, judlannic@hotmail.com

Class President: Jon Wilska, 119 Mystic Rd., North Stonington CT 06359, jonwilska@hotmail.com

Suzanne Johnson Nixon writes: "The United States connection continues despite living in the United Kingdom. Son George (18) is working at a summer camp in Massachusetts and then traveling in the United States for three months during his gap year. Daughter Hannah (20) is studying American and English literature at the University of East Anglia and will spend her third year at a college (yet to be chosen) in the United States."... William Ramsey was appointed to the Pee Dee Savings Bank Chair in English at Francis Marion Univ. in Florence, S.C. He joined the FMU faculty in 1988.... Harold Smith writes: "Officially retired April 1, 2004. We are full-time RV trailer travelers. We left southwest Washington March 8, taking Route 1 to San Diego and crossing the country from there to Biloxi, Miss., then north through South Carolina and Tennessee to our summer cabin in northern Wisconsin. This fall we traveled the route of the fall color, which I do not remember from my Bates years." The Smiths wintered in the Carolinas.... Mary Jane Anderson Sperry writes: "Big year for the Sperrys! I became head of school at Academy of the Pacific, a small middle and high school in Honolulu; daughter Malia earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology; daughter Megan welcomed her master's degree in environmental engineering and a fourth child; Husband Mark became a certified senior specialist in his real estate work; and we moved house."
