  • Meeting next Wednesday. (Mitchel)
    • Any skills that anyone wants to teach for a seminar?
      • Learn to make a fire? The fireplace behind Campus Avenue could be good.
        • Smores!
  • Leaders. (Mitchel)
    • Leaders bringing out trips should talk to members on the way back from trips about feedback and what people enjoyed to build a stronger community and learn how to make future trips better.
  • Next Full BOC meeting March 8th.
  • The next leadership meeting is on March 15th.
  • Full BOC meeting with a film after break on March 29th.
  • Update. (Tommo)
    • How quick of a turnaround is there to plan a trip and then just go do it? EX- if the weather is good, could you just put out a trip the day before?
      • This could be tricky because of van rentals and signups, but the BOC is hoping to have a permanent van for Short Term that could make this easier. However, check with Catie about this timeline.
    • Use of personal vehicles and gas reimbursement?
      • Currently, vans are the only covered transportation. However, you can announce unofficial trips through the club.
    • Tommo technically can not lead trips until he completes the training, but that is not until April and is three parts. However, planned trips could be done with another trip leader coming along.
  • Will there be more WFA offered? (Nathan)
    • The one offered by the club is the only one planned right now. However, they are offered every weekend by places like LL. Bean and the club can cover some of the cost.
  • BOC first aid certification trip group? (David)
    • This could make it cheaper and could be easier with more people and transportation.
    • The BOC has two CPR instructors that could maybe offer this for members as well on campus.
      • Noah and Adelle.
  • Mitchel and Levi- intro to backcountry skiing.
    • Saturday, March 11th.
    • If anyone is willing to come help that has skiing experience in backcountry skiing, this would help the ratio of trip leaders to people that can sign up.
  • Heidi has offered to help lead a snowshoe trip on March 17th.
    • If any leaders are willing to help, let Mitchel know.
  • Does anyone want to lead a Sugarloaf trip with Mitchel on April 11th?
    • If interested, let him know.
  • Sunrise paddle. (Claire)
    • Sunday, April 16th.
  • There could be a head trip leader meeting soon to talk about Short Term.
    • Important to discuss and plan trip leaders for the end-of-the-year rafting trip- the last weekend of Short Term.
      • This trip is going to be a partly paid trip. The club is only paying some of the cost, but if people need help paying for this, the BOC has funds to help students.
